The term gay porn refers to movies that show two or more men having sex with one another. Lesbian porn is the same thing, but instead of men, the sexually active actors are women. Trans-porn is a term used to refer to porn where the stars are in various stages of changing their current sex to a different sex.

Technically gay porn isn’t new. Homosexuals have been a part of the world since the beginning of time. Books have been written, statues with two lovers entwined have been sculpted, and paintings of young nubile men engrossed in various sexual acts have been delighting art fanatics for thousands of years. Now gay pornographic movies are starting to become increasingly popular. So popular that it is possible that there are actually more gay sex movies than there are straight sex movies.

For a long time, the making of gay sex videos had to be done secretly. This was because many states had strict laws about sodomy. Gays caught sodomizing their partner could be arrested. Everything changed in 2003 after the Supreme Court ruled on the case of Lawrence vs. Texas. With that one ruling, the gay porno industry was able rise up from the underground and start making commercial quality porno movies anywhere in the United States.

Despite the laws some states had regarding sodomy, there was no denying that there was a market for gay sex movies. Between the 1960′s and 1990′s movies such as Deep Throat, Scorpio Rising, Flesh, and Nights in Black Leather had had a profound effect on the gay community. By the time the 1990′s rolled around, the countries opinion about gays was starting to relax, leaving the door wide open for an increased production of commercial quality porn videos.

Another change that rocked the gay porn industry during the 1990′s was the advent of the gay niche market. It was suddenly possible for gays to not only watch gay porn, but they could actually watch the porn that best suited their unique personalities and fetishes. Today there are just as many gay niche sex movies as there are heterosexual niches.

Perhaps the biggest change the 1990′s had on the gay porn industry was the creation of the internet. Suddenly it was possible for anyone with a computer to view gay sex photos.

The next change that changed gay pornography is high speed internet, with dial up, it wasn’t possible to use the internet to view any gay porn videos, but with the increased internet speed, all of sudden online porn was the place to be. Everyone was scrambling to create their own gay porn web tube where viewers can watch all the porn their heart desires.

One of the fastest growing niches in the gay porn industry right now is trans-sexual pornography. This particular type of pornography features lead actors and actresses who are in various stages of gender exchange. The web tubes featuring trans-porn are currently enjoying a steadily growing viewership.
